"Both
of my children took voice lessons from Vanessa. We were all impressed
with Vanessa's educational credentials and also loved that she was
a working artist and still studying and perfecting her craft. Vanessa
was able to 'tell it how it was' out there in the real world of
auditioning and working. She encouraged our children to compile
an expansive repertoire of songs so they would be prepared for future
auditions. Vanessa was able to accompany her students on the piano
as she taught, which is always a plus. Future students would be
in good hands with Vanessa."

Ten years
ago, Vanessa began giving voice lessons to fellow performers. In
2000, she expanded to include piano lessons and opened The June
Studio in her Long Beach, CA home. Since then, more than fifty students
have worked in the studio. Using their newly acquired skills and
confidence, some students have gone on to be accepted as music majors
at distinguished performing schools like Eastman School of Music
and University of California at Irvine. Other students have chosen
to make a career out of singing, finding work on cruise ships, with
rock bands, and in musicals. Piano students have graduated from
basic instructional books to solo pieces. Many have used the musicianship
skills acquired in their piano studies to expand to other instruments
like upright bass, percussion, and violin. |
